Meet on the steps of the cathedral. When I arrived I thought we would end up with a small group, but no one was there except the guide and I. Perfect. The guides are locals that don't get paid but ask for a small donation at the end. This tour is probably the first thing you should do when you get to Varna, because it will help in determining what you should see on your own at a later time.

Tony, our tour guide, made the excursion fun and interesting. He was very familiar with the interesting details of Varna and Bulgaria. This is a "don't miss" event.

We did the free walking tour with Nick who showed up despite the awful weather! For a small town Varna has a lot of history and lots to see so it was great to be shown round by someone as friendly and insightful as Nick. He also showed us nice places to eat and where to avoid tourist traps. Fully recommend.

As budgeteurotrip.com I decided to join the free walking tour of Varna, during my balkan tour. Despite I was the only one attending the tour it was a pleasent experience. I was giuded through the history of Bulgaria and Varna and all the main attraction and beauty of the city.
