First Free Varna Tour 2013

The season at Bulgaria’s seaside has already started, and so has Free Varna Tour. The opening of the season began with a special tour and special guests – the school kids from the social home for disadvantaged children in the village of Burzitsa, close to Varna.

The kids were split into two groups – one for girls and one for boys – and together with Iva & Bobie walked through the main sights of interest in Varna. Both tours were very interactive – with the kids and the guides challenging each other – asking questions and answering.

All kids have already visited Varna, some of them have even lived here before – in one of Varna’s social homes. But the walking tour for the first time gave a meaning to monuments and buildings, to streets and alleys. They were constantly asking questions and at the same time wanted to illustrate their knowledge about Varna, Bulgaria and the world.

The funniest part was the wishing bridge - part of each and every Free Varna Tour  :)

But for the girls the fun didn’t stop here, as they decided to show what they’ve learned in dance classes at the social home. Under the bagpipe sounds they danced a short traditional folclore dance – pravo horo.

To our little friends from Burzitsa the team of Free Varna Tour wishes good luck! And to all the guests of Varna – that their wishes in Varna come true. :)
